Tempe mendoan...

I was disappointed the second time.

We were at a restaurant. This particular restaurant serves Indonesian food. One of the food listed on the menu is Mendoan. 4 weeks ago, it's not available. So, I decided to ask for it this time.

I asked the waiter if mendoan is available this time.

The thought of eating tempeh fritter started when my bestie, a half Javanese, describe how they prepare their tempeh. "Tempeh fritters?" was my respond. Imagining my favourite food dipped in batter. Deep fried. Yummy? How about Tempeh tempura?... Stop imagining. I'm drooling already. My keyboard is literally wet from my drool. Back to the story. The waiter was positive about mendoan availability.

Yes was his reply. I was happy. But not for long. My happiness was prematurely cut when the waiter informed me that they are out of tempeh.

Urghhhhhhhhhh! I should have known. If only I live in Arizona. In Tempe* to be exact. Would this happen? Tempeh shortage in Tempe*?

I decided to look for the recipe in Masak.tv.

Nope. I wish Google+ stop being an ass and let me comment on YouTube. At least I could request a video recipe on how to make on from Faisal Lanin or Tirta Pane or Alvin Maulana. If only they're on blogger. I would just ask.
